Commons Systems Integration Lab (CSIL)

• The Commons System Integration Lab (CSIL) is an Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) test facility that provides expertise and resources to NAVAIR Programs of Record and other customers to mitigate engineering risks, while supporting systems integration efforts during upgrades to naval air platform cockpits and associated systems

Mission

•The CSIL helps ensure the successful integration of platform capability requirements, both common and unique, and their sustainment for the life of the platform

Description

Avionics Architecture Team (AAT)

Rapidly Advancing the Latest Technology and Innovations to the Warfighter

The Avionics Architecture Team (AAT), also known unofficially as the Open Architecture Engagement (OA) team, is comprised of experienced OA subject matter experts (SMEs) with focused OA and Modular Opens Systems Approach (MOSA) participation and resources. That includes Software and Hardware Open Systems Standards, Platform Integration and Modeling, Open Systems Management Plans (OSMP), as well as MOSA Guides and Strategies for Air, Ground and Sea Platforms.

Common Mission Computing and Displays (CMCD)

• The CMCD is a non-proprietary Open Architecture (OA) that allows for competitive and re-competitive third party participation for MCA procurements, upgrades and sustainment.

• A Family of Systems (FoS) product line that maximizes leveraging of hardware and software components and minimizes cost through shared investments.

• FACE conformance to enable software partitioning and the leveraging of capability software applications across platforms for significantly faster, less expensive fielding of capability to the Fleet.
