Naval Aviation Maintenance Program

The Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) is sponsored and directed by CNO, and administered/managed by CNAF and COMNAVAIRSYSCOM.  COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 addresses maintenance policies, procedures, and responsibilities for the conduct of the NAMP at all levels of maintenance throughout naval aviation.

CSEC Files

The Computerized Self Evaluation Checklist (CSEC) program provides checklists and audit capabilities for programs mandated for auditing within COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 All auditing described in this instruction must be performed at the prescribed intervals. Other areas are included within CSEC which, while not specifically mandated for auditing, are intended to enhance the attainment of total quality maintenance and are provided as a tool for use in the achievement of that goal.   Click "CSEC Files" for (secure) portal access link.

The Objective of the NAMP is to achieve the aviation material readiness and safety standards established by the CNO and CNAF in coordination with the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC).

Principles of the NAMP are:

Strict adherence to quality and safety procedures.

Repair of aeronautical equipment and material at the level of maintenance that most efficiently uses resources in achieving operational objectives.

Application of systematic planned maintenance to minimize material degradation of aircraft, engines, and equipment.

Collection and analysis of data to support changes to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and safety of naval aviation maintenance.
