NAWCAD Lakehurst, NYU sign educational partnership

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst and New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering recently signed an Educational Partnership Agreement (EPA) to expand current recruitment efforts.

“We’ve had a close working relationship with NYU Tandon for many years now,” said Kathleen Donnelly, NAWCAD Lakehurst executive director. “Several NYU Tandon alumni have already proved to be assets to the Naval aviation mission here at Lakehurst. With the new EPA, I have no doubt we will be seeing many more talented minds supporting the fleet.”

Navy engineers developing augmented reality headsets to revolutionize maintenance and repair worldwide

Engineers from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division are developing augmented reality headset applications to connect engineers with maintainers across the globe to maintain and repair Navy aircraft and systems.

The technology received the 2020 Department of Defense Maintenance Innovation Challenge Award, and has application both in and outside of the military.

NAWCAD LKE, Drexel University renew educational partnership

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst (LKE) and Drexel University recently renewed their Educational Partnership Agreement (EPA), extending Drexel’s participation in NAWCAD LKE’s Capstone Project Program and NAWCAD LKE’s recruitment from Drexel’s graduate pool.

The Capstone Project Program provides the opportunity for Drexel graduate students to solve Navy engineering problems. The program encourages students to identify, analyze and address technical and scientific challenges using innovative technologies.

NAWCAD Lakehurst discusses upcoming opportunities at Small Business Industry Day

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst met virtually with small business representatives and contractors Dec. 9 at the Lakehurst Small Business Roundtable Industry Day.

Held annually, the roundtable meeting focuses on the current involvement of small businesses in support of NAWCAD Lakehurst’s Naval Aviation mission and provides an overview of upcoming contracting opportunities in Support Equipment (SE) and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE).

NAWCAD Lakehurst, Villanova renew educational partnership

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst and the Villanova University College of Engineering renewed their Educational Partnership Agreement (EPA) Oct. 21 to continue streamlining qualified graduates into the Navy workforce.

The partnership provides opportunities for aspiring engineers to help find solutions to engineering issues currently affecting the Navy through NAWCAD Lakehurst’s Capstone Project Program Initiative.
