FRCE training assists WESTPAC in standing up V-22 PMI line

Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) provides maintenance, repair, overhaul and technical services that support a variety of Navy and Marine Corps aircraft around the world. The depot also provides service to the Fleet through training for aircraft maintenance professionals who can then return to their respective organizations with the skills they need to maintain aviation readiness.

Upgrades provide expanded capabilities at FRCE Innovation Lab

When inspiration strikes at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE), the Fleet Support Team’s Advanced Technology and Innovation (ATI) Team stands ready to help translate ideas into reality. In the team’s Innovation Lab, engineers and artisans can find the various technologies and resources they need to imagine creative solutions to issues facing the Fleet and depot.

FRCSW Inducts Its First MV-22 to Suffer Mishap

Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) artisans and the Fleet Support Team (FST) recently joined industry partners and the V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) to prevent the loss of an CMV-22 Osprey aircraft which had suffered damage during a mishap.

The right-hand inner composite skin of the $75 million aircraft sustained a four-foot by two-foot crack with other, but minor, composite damage.

Speed of capability and affordability rely on strong industry partnerships

Warfighter dominance against current and future adversaries, coupled with affordability, remains the key focus of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

Connecting networks, sensors, platforms and weapons is key to delivering the integrated capabilities the Navy and Marines Corps need to win. NAVAIR leaders expounded upon this idea with industry partners in a March 3 panel discussion, “One Team One Fight—Delivering the Warfighting Capability the Fleet Needs to Win, at a Cost We Can Afford,” hosted by The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) and Association of Naval Aviation (ANA).

VRT artisans also deploy to carriers throughout the world in response to fleet Casualty Reports (CASREP) that require depot-level attention to ensure the continued safety and success of naval missions.

FRCSW Teammates Help Rescue Lost Hiker

Perhaps best known for its beaches and Mediterranean climate, San Diego also boasts a scenic desert in its eastern region with county and state parks that attract thousands of visitors a year.

Adam Kimmerly, a quality manager at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), is quite familiar with the state and San Diego parks systems. He is a member of the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team (SDMRT), a local volunteer Search and Rescue team that was formed in 1967 and acts in conjunction with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
