Tenth Joint Conference on Aging Aircraft set

The 10th Joint DoD/NASA/FAA Conference on Aging Aircraft is scheduled for April 16-19 in Palm Springs, Calif.

The conference offers the opportunity for government, military and commercial leaders in aviation to address issues affecting all aircraft as they age and for attendees to participate in the development of solution sets. The conference will feature three and half days of presentations on technical developments, improvements, case histories describing technical applications and opportunities for new technology insertions. Issues addressed include aircraft structures, electrical wiring, obsolescence, corrosion, engines, subsystems, avionics and data collection.

Average attendance over the last several years has been approximately 1,000 attendees evenly split between government and industry with approximately 140 exhibits on display. A growing complement of attendees is from the international and academic communities. Participants range from CEO/SES level to working level engineers.

Keynote speakers this year include N. Wayne Hale Jr., Space Shuttle Program Manager; Mark V. Rosenker, acting Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board; W. Michael Hatcher, Director of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center Engineering Directorate; and Ralph R. Roe Jr., Director of the NASA Engineering and Safety Center.
