impressed by situational awareness brought to warfighter
NAVAL BASE POINT LOMA, SAN DIEGO – A new leader is at the helm of the program office that develops, fields, and supports interoperable, affordable, and secure tactical data link and programmable networking technologies and capabilities for the joint, allied and coalition warfighter.
Capt. Robert D. Croxson assumed command of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Program Office (PMA-/PMW-101) during a May 20 ceremony attended by family and MIDS employees.
'Importance to the warfighter'
“I have seen the hard work and great accomplishments of PMA/PMW-101. I am also excited because I have flown with the MIDS terminal, and I know firsthand the importance to the warfighter. The situational awareness that this terminal brings to the warfighter is impressive. I look forward to getting to know each of you and becoming a part of this exceptional organization,” said Croxson.
Guest speaker, Rear Adm. Donald Gaddis, Program Executive Officer for Tactical Aircraft Programs acknowledged the captain’s past successes as well as the opportunities ahead with the PMA/PMW-101 program office.
“There was great competition for this position and Capt. Croxson proved to be the best fit for this organization. His previous experience and accomplishments speak greatly to his ability to lead this organization and add to the continued success that has already been made,” said Gaddis.
