NAVAIR test engineers earn honors from Navy
NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – The Department of the Navy recognized several test engineers from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) during an awards ceremony held here March 15.
NAVAIR’s Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office (PMA-273) won an honorable mention in the Test and Evaluation Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) award category. Two test engineers from the Systems Test and Evaluation Management Division – Richard Garman and Matthew Everson – were included in that award.
The WIPT provided support during evaluation of the Virtual Mission Training System simulated radar system for use in training fleet undergraduate military flight officers.
The Test and Evaluation Awards, announced late December, recognize personnel and teams who have completed outstanding efforts and significant achievements in the field of Test and Evaluation.
