E-2/C-2 Program Office earns DoD award for should cost management
NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, Patuxent River, Md. — E-2/C-2 Airborne Tactical Data System Program Office (PMA-231) team members receive the DoD Should Cost and Innovation Award from the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Frank Kendall (third from left) and Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition Sean Stackley (left) Feb. 19 at a ceremony in the Pentagon. PMA-231 expanded its should cost based management to control costs throughout the lifecycle of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, E-2C Hawkeye and the C-2A Greyhound. The program office developed a cost-efficient software tool to manage should cost initiatives, documenting more than $500 million in should cost savings from 2014 to the present.
