Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Commanding Officer, CAPT Shannon Thompson, recognized Mr. Michael Anderson, Acquisitions Program Specialist, with a Command Coin and the Golden Wrench Award for his exceptional dedication to aviation maintenance and mission readiness.

Michael has made a significant impact behind the scenes, successfully moving 19 projects to contract award, actively executing ten ongoing efforts, and overseeing five Capital Investment Program funded requirements. His technical expertise and attention to detail have been instrumental in developing critical procurement packages supporting requirements such as Chrome Plating, Chemical Milling Services, and Hoist procurements.

Beyond the numbers, Michael consistently demonstrates the initiative and analytical leadership that keeps the FRCSW mission moving forward. From developing thorough acquisition documentation to addressing critical contract performance issues and protecting government interests, his work directly contributes to the commands ability to maintain and sustain the aircraft our Nation's warfighters depend on.

Michael also championed the modernization of acquisition procurement templates, helping turn administrative processes into more functional tools and streamlining workflows for his teammates.
