The FRCSW team at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar exemplify the highest standards of aircraft maintenance and repair, ensuring the Marine Corps' F/A-18 fleet remains mission-ready. Their commitment and technical expertise are vital to our national defense.
FRCSW is the premier maintenance repair and overhaul organization in the Department of Defense. The command repairs Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and their associated components, which includes wings. On 30 July 2024, the command discovered a wing it could not repair, a distressed and damaged wing on a Seagull. Janine Marr, FRCSW Administrative Services Officer, found the struggling bird and contacted the bird wing experts, Sea World San Diego.
Another successful wing repair operation is now underway. Fair winds and following seas to our feathered friend.
