The U.S. Naval Test Pilot School operates 10 T-38 Talon twin-engined supersonic trainers as part of its fleet training test pilots from around the world.

U.S. Naval Test Pilot School maintenance team members (from left to right) Mearland “Zeke” Rusaw, Lenny Epps, Danny Breedlove, and Michael Lopshire solved a problem that had been plaguing the operators of the T-38 Talon twin-engined supersonic trainer for two decades. Their solution is expected to save the Navy, Air Force, and NASA $207 million and thousands of man-hours over the service life of the T-38.
