Tactical Aircraft Program Office Receives New Leader

Colonel Steven Puckett was relieved by Colonel Doug Lee as program manager for Tactical Airlift Program Office (PMA-207) in a traditional Change of Command ceremony on May 28. The Change of Command custom is rich in Naval tradition symbolizing passing the responsibility of command from one officer to another reflects the dedication of free men and women serving their nation proudly.

PEO(A) Welcomes Walsh as New Lead; Kurtz Retires after 40 Years of Government Service

Program Executive Office, Air Anti-submarine Warfare, Assault, and Special Mission Programs (PEO(A)) welcomed its new program executive officer, Brig. Gen. David Walsh, in a change of command ceremony on June 27. Gary Kurtz, the outgoing PEO(A) executive officer, retired from government service after 40 years with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).

PMA-207 delivers C-40A to the U.S. Marine Corps

Tactical Airlift Program Office (PMA-207) delivered the first of two C-40A aircraft to Marine Transport Squadron (VMR) 1, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 41, in Fort Worth, Texas, May 19.

"Delivery of this aircraft meets a critical Marine Corps requirement for organic long-range logistical airlift capability,” said Col Steve Puckett, PMA-207 program manager.  “These aircraft have been specially equipped for agile tasking and can be reconfigured on the spot to carry Marines, cargo, or a combination of both." 

Navy C-40 fleet deliveries complete

The Navy’s C-40 fleet  has undergone some major changes in the last few months - adding two airplanes, one squadron and completing its current planned aircraft procurements.

The Tactical Airlift Program Office (PMA-207) took delivery of the Navy’s 16th aircraft in June and 17th aircraft on September 26. The Navy’s latest C-40A aircraft will be assigned to U.S. Naval Reserve Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 57.
