When Cmdr. Terrance Flournoy enlisted in the Navy in 1994, the then 27-year-old was almost a decade older than some of his fellow recruits. As he wraps up a career of more than 30 years as a Sailor, Flournoy retires after helping decades of young Sailors achieve their goals while defending the country.
After learning the ropes as an enlisted man, Flournoy said the people around him inspired him to pursue and complete the Limited Duty Officer program to join the leadership ranks.
Environmental Test Lab unveils new proof loading equipment

For the second year in a row, the Mission Safety Team from the Site Operations Office at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst brought home the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Squadron Excellence in Safety Large Industrial Award for its work in 2024.
Stephen Butler, the Site Operations Office Occupational Safety Health Manager, noted last year was the first time they brought home this award.

High school students from across New Jersey converged on Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst on Feb. 7 for the annual New Jersey Southern Junior Science and Humanities Symposium.
NAWCAD Lakehurst signs partnership agreement with Rowan University
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst signed a partnership agreement with Rowan University, encouraging collaboration and adding to its outreach with local academic institutions.
NAWCAD Lakehurst Executive Director Sean D. Brennan said agreements like the one with Rowan are “crucial to our ongoing mission of supporting the warfighter.”
"Having strong ties to our area colleges provides a phenomenal opportunity to bring new talent and ideas to the Navy's mission," Brennan said. "I'm excited to see this partnership grow and thrive for years to come."
