Fleet Readiness Center Southeast implements new Kudos App for recognition of personnel

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) rolled out a new application meant to encourage employee recognition throughout the organization.

The new Kudos App took approximately six-months from inception to deployment and allows users to send direct messages to other FRCSE personnel who are deserving of a pat on the back.

FRCSW Returns Its Final PMI-2 E-2C Hawkeye

The last E-2C Hawkeye to complete the planned maintenance interval two (PMI-2) procedure at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) departed the command’s test line August 3 to Carrier Airborne Early Squadron 116 (VAW-116) stationed at Naval Base Ventura County.

The aircraft was inducted Sept. 21, 2020, from VAW-123.

Developed by the Grumman Aircraft Company in the mid-1960s, the twin turbo-propeller E-2 Hawkeye and its sister airframe, the C-2A Greyhound transport, still serve aboard naval aircraft carriers.

NAVAIR Shares Program Updates at Sea-Air-Space Expo

Maj. Gen. Gregory Masiello, Program Executive Officer for Air Anti-Submarine Warfare, Assault and Special Mission Programs (PEO(A)), gave a brief overview of the substantial portfolio he oversees to start off the second day of speaker presentations on behalf of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at the 2021 Sea-Air-Space Expo Aug. 3.

PEO(A) provides fleet capability and capacity, supporting development and sustainment of Navy and Marine Corps helicopters, special mission aircraft and aviation anti-submarine warfare equipment and aircraft.

NAVAIR kicks off Sea-Air-Space Expo with looks at emerging technologies

Many program offices operating with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) were spotlighted at the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Expo this week.

Monday’s presentations featured updates on the Navy’s latest technological and tactical advantages in unmanned aviation, defense capabilities and aviation training, as well as an explanation from NAVAIR Commander Vice Adm. Dean Peters as to how NAVAIR has changed its operating structure to not only better serve its customers, but provide further speed and lethality to the fleet.

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast hosts ribbon cutting ceremony for new engineering and logistics building

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 20 to induct Building 226, a new engineering and logistics facility, as the latest addition to the Capt. Christopher J. Roum Engineering and Logistics Complex onboard Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS JAX).

The $2M facility is more than 3,000 sq. ft. and was constructed by MIA General Contracting Inc.

Representatives from several Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) program offices will conduct briefings in Booth 1701 and other locations at the Navy League's annual Sea-Air-Space Exposition Aug. 2-4 at National Harbor, Maryland.
