On Monday, February 2, Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) had the distinct honor of welcoming veterans from Honor Flight San Diego for a comprehensive tour of our industrial facilities. These remarkable men and women, who answered the call during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, represent a legacy of courage and service that continues to shape our nation and our Navy today.

A Career of Commitment: 37 Years of Excellence at FRCSW

For more than 36 years Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) accountant, Paula Stauffer, has been a cornerstone of financial excellence at the command. Spending just about her entire federal career at one command, Stauffer’s dedication, precision, and deep institutional knowledge have directly supported the Navy and Marine Corps mission and helped ensure FRCSW was able to meet its mission to the warfighter.

FRCSW Comptroller Team Visits USS Theodore Roosevelt

Teammates from the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Comptroller Department embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt for an in-depth familiarization visit designed to connect their day-to-day responsibilities with the operational realities of the fleet. The tour allowed less experienced members of the team to see firsthand the complexity, tempo, and coordination required to sustain carrier-based aviation, emphasizing how critical accurate financial planning, execution, and oversight are to mission success.

FRCSW Opens State-of-the-Art V-22 Repair Facility

Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) is poised to transform V-22 sustainment for generations to come with the opening of a brand-new, purpose-built V-22 repair facility on Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI) in San Diego, CA. The facility, building 418, is a 65,000-square-foot modern hangar complex designed to enhance capacity, reduce turnaround time, increase safety, and ensure that Navy aircrews receive the mission-ready aircraft they rely on.
