Fleet Readiness Center Southeast inducts first F-35B aircraft and F135 power module for depot-level work

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) achieved two significant milestones in the same week by inducting its first F-35B Lightning II and F135 power module (PM), one of five major modules of the F-35 propulsion system.

The F-35B, which came from the Flying Leathernecks of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122 (VMFA-122), based out of Yuma, Arizona, arrived at FRCSE on Aug. 7 and the F135 PM on Aug. 9.  

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast graduates 45 from apprenticeship program

Forty-five apprentices with Fleet Readiness Center Southeast's (FRCSE) Trades Apprenticeship Program walked the stage to accept their journeyman-level certificate during a ceremony on Friday, July 12.

More than 250 family members, friends and FRCSE personnel gathered to honor the graduates and recognize their achievements.

It’s the first time that an FRCSE FST has received the accolade.

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast F414 engine product line soars past the NAE Engine Readiness Goal

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) was a key contributor to surpassing the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) F414 Engine Readiness Goal (ERG) of 1,451 ready-for-issue (RFI) engines for the first time since 2018 – eight months ahead of the planned recovery schedule. The achievement was a joint effort between FRCSE, the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265), Naval Supply Systems Command, Defense Logistics Agency, General Electric and other organizations that helped hit the goal.  

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast inducts its first F135 Power Module, begins Artisan training

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) inducted its first F135 Power Module (PM) Aug. 24, one of the five major modules that make up the propulsion system on the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter. 

After being designated as a Department of Defense second depot source of repair (DSOR) for the F135 engine, FRCSE quickly began planning for the arrival of its first PM and future sustainment as a second DSOR.
