When it’s time for Marine Corps C-130 transport aircraft to undergo advanced scheduled maintenance, squadrons have two options: have the airplane go to a depot, or have a depot come to the airplane.

The C-130 Minor Depot Inspection Field Team at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) brings the depot to the flight line, making it possible for Marine squadrons to receive an in-depth inspection and repair of their aircraft without leaving their home base.

The FRCE Process Control and Improvement Branch recently developed an online application called the process improvement request form that encourages employees to take an active role in improving operations by identifying areas that could be streamlined and proposing solutions to enhance process efficiency.

Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) hosted leaders from Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 (MWSS-271) July 22 for training focused on increasing the squadron’s F-35 Lightning II program knowledge and readiness.

In his new role as an F-35 maintenance test pilot, Fearon ensures the nation’s warfighters receive flight-ready aircraft following modification or repair at the depot.

When a critical need for new tooling arose for the F-35 Lightning II combat aircraft, innovative thinking and forward-leaning technology at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) helped fill the gap and put 2,000 tools in aircraft maintainers’ hands within days. 

Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) recently hosted a training exercise designed to sharpen the skills of a Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Forward Deployed Combat Repair (FDCR) team that travels to forward-deployed and combat locations during conflict and repairs battle-damaged military aircraft to return them to the fight.
