Vice Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, Commander, Naval Air Forces, accepts the keys to the first operational TH-73A helicopter from Bill Hunt, CEO of Leonardo Helicopters in the U.S., during the TH-73A first delivery ceremony June 10 at the AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation (Leonardo) facility in Philadelphia. The Navy awarded a competitive, full-rate production contract for the production of 130 TH-73A helicopters through a base and three option years, Jan. 13, 2020 to Leonardo. A total of 32 TH-73As are scheduled for delivery to the U.S. Navy this calendar year and 130 total over the contract period.
