EMALS and AAG hit 8,000 aircraft recoveries, launches during Ford PDT&T

In September 2020, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) logged its 4,000th trap (arrested landing) with Training Air Wing (TAW) 1 during carrier qualifications. In April 2021, the Advanced Arresting Gear and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System reached the 8,000th aircraft launch/recovery during the ship's final independent steaming event.
