Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition (ASN(RDA)) James Geurts visited the Leonardo Helicopters manufacturing facility in Philadelphia on June 26 to get a firsthand look at the new TH-73A Advanced Helicopter Training System (AHTS) under production.

The TH-73A will improve pilot training and skills by using current cockpit technologies and a modernized training curriculum. The AHTS skills-based approach to training, with just-in-time methodology that incorporates modern technology, will ensure Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Rotary Wing Aviators are ready to meet challenges faced in the fleet.
