An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21, sits on the flight deck of USS Essex (LHD 2) during flight operations in the Pacific Ocean. Naval Air Traffic Management Systems Program Office (PMA-213) completed precision approach and landing system (PALS) certification on Essex in April.
