The NAWCWD Distinguished Visitors Planning and Resource Office (DVPRO) at China Lake made it easier than ever for customers to contact them by creating a new universal account that reaches everyone in the office with just one e-mail.

“We’re all about supporting the command and finding better and faster ways to serve our customers,” said Doris Sorensen, head of DVPRO. “This will be a real time-saving factor for our customers and us because it immediately increases awareness of all incoming visit requests.”

The office e-mail account can be found in Outlook’s global address list as NAWCWD_DVPRO. All emails sent to this address will reach each person in the China Lake office including Sorensen, Cyndi Townsend, Patty Self and Rena Jacobson.

“This is the best way to reach all of us at one time, and will ensure that every request is quickly acknowledged and coordinated,” Sorensen said.

DVPRO, also known as the Protocol Office, is the corporate focal point and logistical resource responsible for developing, preparing for and executing all phases of visits by distinguished visitors to NAVAIR Weapons Division. DVPRO ensures that appropriate command interface and communications with distinguished visitors is coordinated effectively and consistently throughout the command.

In July 2007, the office added journeyman recruit site visits to its workload. With the command’s push to replenish the WD work force, DVPRO works with hiring managers to coordinate these visits.
