Mr. Fran Donovan, the NAWCAD SEMS/AUTOSerd team lead, was presented with this year’s NAWCAD Area Commander’s award at a ceremony held here at Lakehurst on 4 August.

Fran received this award for his outstanding contributions to excellence in Naval Aviation. His team maintains the lead in technological innovation and in providing uninterrupted service to the Fleet users of Naval Aviation Support Equipment (SE). By being on the cutting edge of Information Systems Maintainability and Reliability within NAVAIR, the team is an essential component of a Navy mandated systematic process that manages almost 643,000 items of SE inventory with an estimated value of $6.6 billion dollars.

RDML (Sel) Eastburg presented the award and read, “Mr. Donovan’s actions bring great credit upon himself, this command, and the United States Navy.”
