The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake has made it free and easy for potential employees and the public to understand and learn more of the importance of WD’s role in supporting the warfighter.

“Currently, we are seeing a need to reach potential employees, visitors, and our numerous partners with convenient, easy communication tools,” said Doris Lance, spokesperson for NAWCWD.

The new toll-free phone number is 1-866-493-9699. Callers may choose from a menu of six options to get a direct connection with an expert on BRAC (1), job opportunities, hiring and relocation (2), Navy ERP (3), base access (4), and base tours and recreational activities (5). There is also an option for leaving a message (6).

“For anyone relocating to or visiting China Lake from out of the area, this phone line will assist in locating services and appropriate people for more information,” Lance said. “Weapons Division scientists and engineers have influenced virtually all of the Navy’s major weapon systems. The pioneering spirit that defined the early years of the Weapons Division still exists today and we want our workforce to carry that ‘can do’ torch into the future.”
