The Senior Executive Management Development Program graduated 62 employees, including 47 from Pax River, at a command-wide ceremony in the atrium of Bldg. 2272 on Oct. 15.

Vice Adm. Joe Dyer, NAVAIR commander, described for the new graduates the new road on which they will now embark.

“The future of naval aviation rests on your shoulders, and you will serve us well ... good on ya’,” Dyer said.

Keynote speaker Dr. Allan R. Somoroff, NAVAIR deputy commander, and Pam O’Dell, assistant commander for corporate operations, also congratulated the graduates.

The SEMDP is designed to enhance the leadership, technical, functional and managerial skills of senior and executive managers and senior officials. The program is open to civilian employees, grades 12-15 or equivalent.
