NAVAIR Depot JAX honors Pacesetters during Teammate Appreciation Month

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has designated June as Teammate Appreciation Month. This official NAVAIR observance provides an opportunity for Naval Air Depot Jacksonville (NAVAIR Depot JAX) leadership to express their gratitude to Depot employees for all their hard work, dedication, and effort. To kick off Teammate Appreciation Month, Vice Admiral Joseph Dyer, Commander, NAVAIR, will visit NAVAIR Depot JAX to personally convey his appreciation for the outstanding work Depot employees perform every day. Dyer will visit numerous areas around the command and participate in cake-cutting ceremonies at each location. In addition to Dyer’s visit, the NAVAIR Depot JAX Public Affairs and Communications office has planned a calendar of events to honor the Jacksonville Pacesetters throughout the month of June. The schedule of events is listed below.

Teammate Appreciation Month Schedule of Events

June 4 – Unveiling of new NAVAIR Depot JAX marquee in front of Building 101

June 5 – Teammate Appreciation visit by Vice Admiral Joseph Dyer, Commander, Naval Air Systems Command

June 5 – Cake-cutting ceremonies in various locations around the facility

June 20 – Navy Band Southeast (Dixieland Band) to play at various locations (tentative)

June 25 – Civilian Employee Welfare and Recreation Committee (CEWRC) sponsored Teammate Appreciation Picnic

June 7, 14, 21, and 28 – Weekly walk-arounds by Senior Leadership to talk with employees

Other planned events for Teammate Appreciation Month are: distribution of an employee appreciation pin and mission statement card, employee awards, hanging of a teammate appreciation banner at the Depot’s main entrance, a two-page layout in Network Magazine honoring Pacesetter’s contributions, teammate appreciation stories every week in the Network News broadcast, and closed-circuit television posters expressing teammate appreciation daily throughout the month.
