NAVAIR Depot Jacksonville employee awarded
By Susan Brink, Public Affairs Specialist

James Dixon, Aircraft Engine Mechanic, NAVAIR Depot, Jacksonville (NADEP JAX), Fla. recently received recognition through the Depot’s Valuable Ideas Save Investments of NADEP (VISION) program. Dixon developed a new procedure to ease installation of the Sector Stage Shroud and Seal on the TF-34-400B engine used on the S-3 Viking and A-10 Warthog aircraft. This procedure allows the Shroud and Seal to be installed without damage, thus making the Shroud and Seal reusable, while improving product delivery and reducing repair costs.

Capt. Karl Yeakel, Commanding Officer, NADEP JAX presented Dixon with the VISION award and applauded his effort to improve quality, productivity, and economy at NADEP JAX.
