Due to sewer line repairs, various roads and bike lanes throughout the west end of the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake will be closed now through Sunday, Oct. 20. To help minimize the impact to the workforce, most repairs will be done during the weekends or after normal working hours.

During the four-day weekend, Oct. 11-14, Inyokern Road will be closed from Bullard to Parsons Road. Knox Road will be closed from Forrestal to Blandy Avenue. Bike lanes in these areas may be affected. People needing to travel on base during this time frame will need to take Bullard (the first left after the Main Gate) to Blandy.

From Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 15-17, Knox Road will be closed after 5:30 p.m. each evening from Inyokern Road (the north tip of the Traffic Circle) to Blandy Ave. People will need to take Bullard or Parsons to Blandy Ave. for areas affected by this closure.

The following weekend, Oct. 19-20, Knox Road, from the north of blandy to the south of Nimitz Road, may be closed if the contractor finds out it is not possible to do the repairs without affecting traffic. This closure is not for certain, but just a possibility.
