The NAVAIR Research and Engineering Fellows Program is accepting nominations for the rank of NAVAIR Fellow until July 15, 2002.

NAVAIR Fellow is the second level of the NAVAIR Research and Engineering Fellows Program, a three-tiered, peer recognition program for the Command’s elite technical workforce. NAVAIR Fellows represent the finest research and engineering skills within the Command - only the top .75 percent of NAVAIR scientists and engineers (approximately 49) are eligible for the honor. Currently, there are 13 NAVAIR Fellows.

The Fellows Program is open to engineers and scientists from all sites and competencies. Anyone can nominate an employee for the NAVAIR Fellow honor. Nominees should have a well-established, 15-year history of significant technical contributions and accomplishments within naval aviation, and their national level 2 department head must endorse the nomination.
