Naval Air Station Patuxent River has just moved to a heightened security level. Effective immediately a 100 percent ID check will be enforced at all gates. Employees may expect delays and are advised to allow additional time to get to work.

The increased security is not because of any particular threat to Pax River. All military installations are on heightened alert.
