Program Summary:

MMA, emerging as an innovative solution to recapitalizing the P-3 and EP-3 force, will transform the maritime patrol fleet from a large fleet of manned aircraft to a smaller force of more capable manned aircraft supplemented by long-dwell unmanned aircraft.

It will provide dominance in ASW, ASuW and maritime reconnaissance and surveillance environments well into the 21st Century.

Speaking in spring's issue of Wings of Gold, Vice Admiral Joseph Dyer said of MMA: "Programs like this one…help us keep our commitment to the warfighter: Reign supreme. Return in glory."
