Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program Satellite Rebroadcasts

Beginning 7 March 2002, at the times noted below, employees can view the 1-hour taped rebroadcast pertaining to the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP). This is the first of three live satellite broadcasts being offered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Long Term Care Partners that is aimed at preparing eligible individuals to make smart decisions about FLTCIP. The first broadcast (Part I) will feature national experts discussing what long term care is, your odds of needing care, and what options are available to pay for long term care. OPM Director Kay Coles James will explain the importance of the FLTCIP, and fellow Federal employees will discuss some of the ways they've coped with the long term care needs of their family members. Lastly, an expert panel will answer questions about the FLTCIP.

Employees at the Patuxent River Complex may view the first satellite rebroadcast (Part I) on base television, channel 12. Part I will be shown on 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 March 2002, at the following times each day: 0900-1000; 1200-1300; and 1400-1500. All employees are strongly encouraged to view one of the rebroadcasts. The Human Resources Office has assigned course code 503087 for the first satellite rebroadcast (Part I). This code should be used on the Visions Training Form to receive training credit. The dates for the two remaining live satellite broadcasts (Parts II and III) will be announced at a future date.
