NAVAIR Depot JAX CO attends Memorial Day Services

On May 27, 2002, NAVAIR Depot Jacksonville Commanding Officer Capt. Karl Yeakel attended the opening ceremonies for the Memorial Day celebration held at Spring Park, Green Cove Springs, Fla. In recognition of the significance of Memorial Day, the city council adopted a proclamation designating Monday, May 27, 2002 as “Military Service Day” in Green Cove Springs. The Mayor of the city presented Capt. Mark Boensel, commanding officer of Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, and Yeakel with a copy of this proclamation during the opening ceremony.
