Free transportation provided to SAS Expo March 26-28
The Navy League is sponsoring its annual Sea-Air-Space Exposition at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. on March 26-28.
The SAS Expo is a free event open to all Department of Defense personnel and is an opportunity to see the platforms, weapons, electronics and computer systems, and supporting technologies that are vital to helping maintain the status as the best-equipped Navy in the world. John Young, the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, will be a guest speaker on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday, Vice Adm. Richard Mayo, Space, Information Warfare, Command and Control director, will be one of the guest speakers during the morning seminar. Vice Adm. Joe Dyer, NAVAIR commander, will be speaking on Thursday at 10 a.m.
The Navy League has arranged transportation to and from the event for interested employees. The transportation is free but seats are limited so call the NAVAIR Public Affairs Office at 301-757-1487 to make a reservation. The deadline to reserve a seat on the bus is March 18. Buses will depart from behind the Moffett Building (2272) parking garage at 7:30 a.m. and will depart the SAS Expo at 2 p.m. each day. The Navy League is also providing free donuts and coffee for the morning ride and chips and sodas on the way home.
