Pax to host information exchanges on station operations
PATUXENT RIVER NAVAL AIR STATION, MD — Naval Air Station Patuxent River invites its neighbors to a series of “open-house” style public information exchanges on operations here and at the Webster Field Annex that impact surrounding communities.
Each exchange will emphasize specific noise-generating operations, but information on all noise-generating operations will be available at every exchange.
Times, dates, locations and focus for each exchange are:
- NAS Patuxent River will host the first exchange July 16 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Spyglass Apartments at Cedar Cove Clubhouse, 21620 Spyglass Way, Lexington Park, Md. 20653. The focus will be on low-level flight operations.
- The second exchange will be July 23 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory on Solomons Island. It will be in the Bernie Fowler Building, 1 William Street, Solomons, Md. 20688. The focus will be on the open-air engine test cell facility and low-level flight operations.
- The final exchange will be July 30 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Face Church Hall next to Little Flower School, 20410 Point Lookout Road, Great Mills, Md. 20634. The focus will be on helicopter operations, unmanned aerial vehicles and sonic booms.
