Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD -- Programs within the Program Executive Office for Tactical Aircraft (PEO-T) were treated to a decadent event last week as they attended an Ice Cream Social sponsored by Rear Admiral Gib Godwin and his management staff. There was plenty of ice cream and fun dished out during this occasion where PEO(T) managers showed appreciation for all the hard work and dedication of their employees. According to Rdml Godwin, "We had some great comradery and the best ice cream in Southern Maryland."

Seemingly bottomless bowls of ice cream, provided by the Friendly's restaurant located in California, Md., were served to the many employees who attended. Along with the ice cream, a "make-your-own-sundae" bar was available with crumbled cookies, candy bar pieces, chocolate jimmies and fresh fruit.

In addition to the sweet treats, a raffle was held for some very unique offerings. Three of the prizes are redeemable at Rdml Godwin's home including a breakfast and dinner cooked by him, and one month of fishing from the shores of his backyard. Also awarded was an MWR pass and a PEO(T) prize pack.

The PEO(T) Ice Cream Social was held in celebration of NAVAIR June Appreciation month.
