NAVAIR Depot Jacksonville military recognized

On February 20, 2003, Executive Officer (XO) Capt. David J. Beck, Naval Air (NAVAIR) Depot Jacksonville, recognized several of the Depot’s active-duty military. All of the Depot’s military members and Reservists were present for the ceremony. As Capt. Steve Clarke read several citations, the XO congratulated all of the recipients recognized for their past and present accomplishments.

Several of the military headed out to the Pistol Range for qualifying on February 14th. The Expert Pistol Medal was issued to Lt. Cmdr. Donald Simmons, ADC Duane Graham, AOC Brian Flinn, AM1 John Jensvold, PR1 Robert Colgan, and YN2 Quentin Martin. Sharpshooter ribbons were issued to Cmdr. Timothy Matthews, Cmdr. Joseph Bartley, Lt. Cmdr. Brent George, Lt. Cmdr. Terry Hart, Lt. Paul Casey, ETC David Fujioka, AK1 Travice Anderson, and SK2 Marvin C. Polk. Marksman ribbons were issued to SK1 Raymond Murray, SK1 Carolyn Hodges, SK1 Joel Therlonge, SK1 Raymond Murray, SK2 Latessa Roby, AK2 Malcolm Jeffcoat, and SK2 Oscar Vargas.

Letters of Appreciation were presented to Capt. Steve Clarke, AFCM John Bandor, AMCS Jeff Abbey, and AK2 Malcolm Jeffcoat for their participation in the CCAR Christmas Party on December 20, 2002. Beck thanked them for their selfless contribution of time that lead to the success of this annual event.

A Letter of Appreciation was presented to YN2 Onre Houston for his assistance with the Command Blood Drive that was held on June 27, 2002. Houston volunteered eight hours to assist with the check in of the donors and providing necessary administrative support for the event.

Beck welcomed SK1 Raymond Murray, a reservist, who will be working in Material Support. Murray relocated to Jacksonville from Atlanta, Georgia.
