In the H-46 Hangar at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Depot Cherry Point, CMSgt Thomas E. Smith (center) and MSgt Brian T. Sterling of the 71st Expeditionary Rescue Squadron from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, N.C., present a citation and an American flag to H-46 Airframes Mechanic Lawrence S. Guist. Guist recently retired as a master sergeant from the Air Force Reserve, and the flag, which was flown aboard an HC-130P aircraft on a combat mission over the skies of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, was given to him in honor of his military service.
