As the action arm for NAVAIR’s senior leadership, the NAVAIR Warfighter Focus Group works with Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF), as the action advocate for the Fleet. The role of the WFG includes leveraging all of NAVAIR’s energies to focus on its objective of “seeing the world through the Fleet’s eyes, and measuring our success by their success”. The NAVAIR WFG serves as the conduit, integrator and facilitator in bringing the full collaborative capabilities of CNAF and NAVAIR to bear on addressing Fleet aviation challenges.

The NAVAIR WFG Charter includes the following deliverables:

* Define areas of responsibility to ensure NAVAIR's portion of Aviation Maintenance and Supply Readiness (AMSR) issues are addressed using the Naval Aviation Readiness Integrated Improvement Program (NAVRIIP), where applicable.

* To successfully assist with product oriented barrier removal (as directed by NAVRIIP), by engaging program managers (PMAs) and addressing product barrier removal in alignment with NAVRIIP.

* Develop methods to enable the Fleet to access information, to seek assistance and to provide feedback on products and services to measure utility and effectiveness. Adjustments will then be made accordingly.

* Communicate results regularly across the Naval Aviation Strategic Partnership (NASP)*.

* Shape unified strategy/training for how NAVAIR employees shall address Fleet relationships and approach Fleet issues and concerns.

* Develop Fleet familiarization program for NAVAIR employees.
