CHINA LAKE TO TEST MASS ALERT SYSTEM

Archived Body

NAVAIR China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station will test its re-established mass alert system on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003.

Six sirens, located throughout the base property, will be tested individually and as a unit throughout the day.

Individuals working, living or visiting the base can anticipate hearing these sirens during the one-day test. Area resident living adjacent to the base will also be effected. We apologize for any inconvenience this test may cause.

It is a standard safety procedure for naval installations to test their mass alert systems on an occasional basis in case of emergencies or natural disasters.
