PEARL HARBOR DAY COMMEMORATION TO BE HELD
NAVAIR China Lake, Calif.--
A Pearl Harbor Day commemoration will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002 beginning with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the BPO Elks Lodge, 1913, 201 E. Church Street in Ridgecrest.
Master of Ceremonies will be Capt.(sel) Steve Burris, commanding officer of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX-31) at NAVAIR China Lake. The U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard will represent the Armed Services in addition to the Fleet Reserve Association’s two-bell ceremony.
The Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce, (760) 375-8331, is accepting reservations. Cost of the breakfast is $6.
Survivors of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor living in the community will be the special guests. The event is open to all community residents and military personnel.
