Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 there will be an opportunity for media representatives to visit the Navy owned and operated island of San Nicolas.

Located 60 miles off the Southern Calif. coastline, this remote island is the cornerstone of the NAVAIR Pacific Test Range complex for testing and evaluation of weapons systems.

The trip will include visiting the secure land attack missile sites plus interviews with the officer-in-charge and the director of test and evaluation operations.

Briefings will be provided on the flight over to the island and on the return trip.
