NAVAIR Depot To Commemorate Its 60th Anniversary

CHERRY POINT, NORTH CAROLINA—The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Depot Cherry Point will mark its 60th anniversary on Dec. 16, 2003. A ceremony will be held at the facility on that date, starting at 11:30 a.m. Many distinguished civilian, political and military guests, as well as depot personnel, have been invited to attend.

Media desiring to cover the anniversary observance should arrive at the MCAS Cherry Point Main Gate visitor control office no later than 10:45 a.m. Media representatives planning to attend the event should ensure they have the following items in their possession: current driver’s license, auto registration and proof of auto insurance to avoid delays in accessing the base.
