BREAKFAST TO BE HELD FOR PEARL HARBOR DAY

NAVAIR China Lake, Calif.--

Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, military personnel and community members will gather for a special ceremony, at 7:30 a.m., in observance of Pearl Harbor Day.

The keynote breakfast speaker will be Rear Adm. David J. Venlet, commander of NAVAIR Weapons Division.

Survivors of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor who live in the surrounding area will be the special guests. William P. Gentry, a survivor, will speak on behalf of the veterans.

The Navy Honor Guard, a solemn two-bell ceremony presented by the Fleet Reserve Association and patriotic songs preformed by Gunnery Sergeant Mike Miller, USMC (ret)will round out the program.

The breakfast is open to the public and reservations are being accepted through the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce, (760) 375-8331. Cost is $5.
