Partnership agreement signed between Army and Navy
CAPT Mark L. Bathrick, Commanding Officer of the Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst (NAES) and Joe Holt, Aviation Officer of the Army’s Communications and Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Command, Flight Activity, signed an agreement on Oct. 2, for the Army activity to continue leasing hangar space at the Ocean County base for another year.
NAES Lakehurst has realized the defense department’s vision of joint installation partnerships by creating an environment that welcomes the Army, Air Force, New Jersey Army National Guard, and other federal and state activities to form mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance the mission effectiveness and efficiency of both the installation and our many joint associate commands. Additionally, the reimbursements provided to the installation by the Army, help to reduce the cost of operations at Lakehurst for both the Navy and the Army.
The Army’s Lakehurst-based flight activity provides aviation support for research, development and evaluation of airborne electronics systems for Army and other defense activities.
