NAVAIR Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake -- Effective Tuesday, July 1, the hours at the Lauritsen and Richmond (back) gates will be reduced. The change is a result of the CNO police/guard security post validation analysis (manning) conducted in April and is long-term. There are plans to add an hour in the morning and evening hours at the back gate in the future when staffing will allow.

The new gate hours are:

Lauritsen Gate will be open 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mondays through non-flex Fridays. It will be open 24 hours a day on flex Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Richmond Gate, the back gate, will be open from 6 to 8 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays through non-flex Fridays. It will be closed on flex Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Sandquist Gate will remain open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through non-flex Fridays. It will remain closed on flex Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The Main Gate, front gate, will remain open 24 hours a day.
