NAVAIR employees encouraged to attend 3rd Annual Commander’s Awards Ceremony on June 4

NAVAIR will be recognizing the winners of the third annual Commander’s Award Ceremony at Noon ET, on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 in the atrium of the IPT Bldg. 2272.
Vice Admiral Joe Dyer, NAVAIR Commander, will formally recognize the vital role that teams and teamwork play within NAVAIR with an award that was created three years ago to honor and show appreciation to those who play such an important role within the NAVAIR. Each year numerous nomination packages that illustrate the support, hard work and dedication of NAVAIR employees are submitted for review. This year over 100 teams were nominated for the awards, which represent six categories of NAVAIR support. The following teams have been selected as the 2003 Commander’s Award winners:
· Supporting Our People – Wage Grade Development Enterprise Team
· Supporting the Warfighter – J52 Integrated Product Team
· Resources and Affordability Achievement – S-3 Integrated Maintenance Concept (IMC) Team
· Process Improvement – Airborne Weapons Information System (AWIS) Team
· Business Strategy Achievement – Theory of Constraints (TOC) Team
· Special Achievement – V-22 Osprey Joint Program Team
All NAVAIR employees are invited to show their appreciation for the outstanding job of these teams by attending the Commander’s Award Ceremony. The program will be carried live at all NAVAIR sites via VTC and aired on Channel 12 here at NAVAIR Patuxent River for those unable to get to Building 2272.
