Capt. Pete Laszcz, commanding officer of Naval Air Depot North Island, presents $10,000 worth of toys to Salvation Army Lt. Col. Don Bell and Santa Claus (Joe MacDonald). Military and civilian employees at the Depot raised the funds for this year’s annual Superintendents Association holiday toy drive. Laszcz said that the donation from the Depot accounted for 30 percent of the funds raised in San Diego to buy toys to donate to the Salvation Army for distribution to needy children.
