After successfully completing the International Standards Organization (ISO) 9000 registration audit performed by Intertek Testing Services, the Avionics Integrated Product Team and the Materials Engineering Laboratory of the Naval Aviation Depot Jacksonville (NADEP Jax) were recommended for ISO 9000 certification May 20.

By June 15, both areas expect to receive official notification of their certification.

Many depot employees worked very hard to ensure that NADEP’s business system and processes are in control and compliant with ISO standards, but there is one conscientious group that continues to work tirelessly behind the scenes.

That group is the depot’s own ISO 9000 internal auditors who work with each area preparing for both the pre-assessment and formal certification audits. The only recompense these committed volunteers receive is the personal satisfaction of knowing that they contributed and continue to support NADEP JAX in its efforts to secure ISO 9000 certification throughout the entire plant. Moreover, without them, depot certification would be a more time consuming and arduous process.

Congratulations to Avionics, the Materials Laboratory, all the supporting competencies and the internal auditors for NADEP JAX for all their contributions in preparing for this very significant accomplishment. It is their hard work, dedication and professionalism that has made this day possible and recommendation for ISO 9000 certification is testament to their determination.
