JOINT BASE McGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. – On Wednesday, November 5th, Ms. Kathleen Donnelly, Director, Support Equipment and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Department, along with several senior leaders, met with 17 NAVAIR Lakehurst employees to welcome them into the Journey Leadership Development Program (JLDP).

The JLDP is a Command-wide competitive program for both civilian and military personnel. It is part of an ongoing command commitment toward leadership development and is intended to complement the senior-level leadership program, NAVAIR Leadership Development Program (NLDP). JLDP enables participants to enhance productivity skills, develop a more robust personal network, increase organizational knowledge, and gain opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

During the meeting, Donnelly encouraged the JLDP participants to actively participate in the training. “Take the time to volunteer in programs that interest you, seek out both formal and informal mentors, take advantage of shadowing opportunities within your organizations and NAVAIR and ensure you create a reasonable work-life balance as you develop in your career,“ said Donnelly.

Designed to target the journey-level workforce, the program aims to provide participants with foundational leadership training in a structured framework. Developmental activities include classroom-based leadership training, computer-based training, shadowing assignments, interviews with senior leaders, formal mentorship, and the creation of individual development plans. The program is designed to be completed by participants within a 1-2 year timeframe.

JLDP is open to current, NAVAIR full time civilians in grades GS 9-13 and military in the grades of 01-03 and E4-E6.

The latest group of Lakehurst participants to enter the JLDP include: Jacob Abujaber, Lisette Behmke, Christopher Brocco, Margaret Donnelly, Matthew Dos Santos, Joseph Heitmann, Eric Higgs, James Hing, Scott Holden, Mark Intong, Christopher Jaworowski, Shawn Kircher, Maria Legato, Noelle Nivison, Anthony Reyes, Falguni Shah, and Keith Welge.
